Trying to decide if your family should check out the Traditional Latin Mass?

1. Go to a Mass near you! Check out the Latin Mass Directory to find one and go to a few Masses! Just dive in!

2. Watch the Mass of the Ages: The Latin Mass Trilogy! It is absolutely incredible!

3. Read books by Dr. Peter Kwasniewski! He has so many timely and intelligent books, articles, and talks on YouTube.

4. Watch some YouTube videos by Dr. Taylor Marshall. And, of course, you’ll want to check out his book, Infiltration.

5. Go to confession or adoration. If you’re nervous about your whole family just popping in during a packed Mass, visit the church beforehand to get more comfortable. I love the beautiful reverence at adoration at our TLM parish!

6. Talk to other families who attend the TLM. Learn about their experience and the impact it has made on their family.

7. Look at guidelines on what to do before you come to a TLM. How to dress, etc.

8. What about the chapel veils? If you don’t have one there’s usually some in a basket at the door. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing one, no worries—there are always women who choose not to wear one. If you want to purchase one, I found mine from Evintage Veils—I love it!

9. Curious about the missals? You can find a 1962 Missal online or check out the new Benedictus from Sophia Institute Press (absolutely gorgeous and simple to use!) Of course, there’s my children’s missal, as well. I would recommend just going to the Mass first though before you decide what you would like to use.

10. Pray the Rosary everyday with your family and make (or renew) your Consecration to Mary! She will guide you!!

Ave Maria!
